This course has deep sand bunkers, and extremely difficult par 3's and 4's. This is a traditional-style course with tree-lined fairways and small to medium-sized greens. "Golf Digest" rated it as the 19th "Best in State" course for 1997-98, and "GOLFWEEK" ranked it 87th among "America's 100 Best Classical Courses" for 1997, 75th for 1998 and 58th for 1999. "Golf Magazine" chose it 64th among the "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." for 1999.
