Willow Springs Golf Course - Course 2 in San Antonio
This course plays very long from the back tees, but the fairways are wide open. Hole #2 features one of the longest (if not the longest) par 5's in the entire San Antonio region. A number of the fairways are doglegs, and all of them are lined with a standard cut of rough. The greens are extremely large, making three putts fairly common. It is a good course for both the high handicapper or the advanced player. Water hazards (a river and five lakes) come into play on a minimum of six holes. This is one course where you'll need to use every club in your bag. This is one of six municipal courses within the City of San Antonio. John Bredemus designed the second nine holes in 1925.
