Willow Pond Golf Course in Rantoul
This eighteen hole course is situated on the former Chanute Air Force Base, and many of the old hangers are still standing and are visible from some of the holes. The course is very picturesque with numerous mature trees lining the fairways. Water hazards come into play on five of the eighteen holes. Every green has a slight break to it, which makes precise putting important. The signature hole is #4, a 251-yard, par 3, which calls for a tee shot into the wind and to an elevated green. The hole offers a fantastic view of the surrounding area. Tee times are reserved for weekends and holidays only.
