Widow's Walk Golf Course in Scituate
This is the first known environmentally-designed golf course. It is constructed on the former site of the Boston Sand & Gravel Company. This regulation eighteen hole course is situated in an environmental preserve, along the Atlantic Coast. From the hole on #8, "The Widow's Walk," there is a fantastic view of Cape Code and on a clear day, Boston can also be seen. There is an abundance of wildlife that can be seen in and around the golf course. The course is challenging due to numerous trees around the fairways, many out-of-bounds areas and the fairways being very narrow in width.
