San Jose Country Club in San Jose
This course was built at the base of the foothills in San Jose. The holes utilize a combination of level and slightly uphill and downhill elevation changes. The greens provide small targets with both level and extreme undulations. There are four signature holes on the course. Hole #4, a 444-yard, par 4, sports a panoramic view of the Santa Clara Valley up to San Francisco. Hole #7, a 156-yard, par 3, calls for an elevated tee shot towards the valley below. Holes #17 and #18, a 516-yard, par 5, and a 367-yard, par 4, both play across a natural barranca water hazard. One of the most noteworthy points about this course is the longevity of its professionals. Since 1912, there have been just five head professionals at this club. The men's and ladies' tees are rated for both men and ladies.
