Rock River Country Club in Rock Falls
This course sits alongside the Rock River. The Rock River is one of the multiple water hazards that come into play on fourteen holes. The front nine, originally built in 1912, has very narrow fairways and small greens. The back nine, built in 1968, has fairways that are wide open and very large greens. This course doesn't open until noon on Monday. The club is located two hours from Chicago and the Quad Cities (Davenport, Bettindorf, Moline and Rock Island). The Mississippi River is only a short thirty-minute drive from the course.
