Rancho Mirage Country Club in Rancho Mirage
This course was built on rolling terrain and features narrow, tree-lined fairways and small greens. The course sets the tone on the first hole with a sharp dogleg right fairway with out-of-bounds to the left and trees and bunkers to the right. The second hole plays just over 100 yards, but still requires a precise shot to hit the large green. Water hazards (lakes) come into play on six holes. One of the key reasons people enjoy playing this course is because the surrounding mountains provide some of the most breathtaking vistas around. Robert Muir Graves redesigned the course in 1989.
