Ragged Mountain Golf Club in Danbury
This course features elevated tees and spectacular views of Ragged Mountain, as well as the surrounding White mountains. The designer tried to work with the natural landscape, combining the area's natural meadows with the mountain's topography. There are numerous wetlands, which made routing several holes a challenge. In addition, stone walls and barn foundations have been left undisturbed. One of the tees on hole #14 was actually built on an old barn foundation. These areas have helped give the course a rustic New England flavor. Golfers will enjoy the variety of shots offered by this target course. Golfers will be challenged by long carries over numerous hazards, tee shots from plateau-style tee boxes and approaches to well-guarded greens.
