This scenic course has several tree-lined fairways. The course is noted for its large, beautiful greens and ponds that come into play on many holes. "Golf Digest" rated this course 65th among "America's 100 Greatest Courses" for 1995-96, and 56th best in 1997-98. The same publication rated this as the 3rd "Best in State" course for the years 1995 through 1998. "GOLFWEEK" chose it 58th in the category of "America's 100 Best Classical Courses" in 1997, 51st in 1998 and 59th in 1999. In addition, "GOLF Magazine" awarded it 66th among the "100 Greatest Courses in the U.S." for 1995.
