Pine River Golf Course in Standish
This course was built on gently rolling terrain. The Pine River and its tributaries flow through some holes. Even though the front nine features open fairways, it looks easier than it plays. The back nine, carved out of a forest and designed by Bruce and Jerry Matthews, features elevated greens. Although this club is listed as "open year round", it does close in the event of snow.
