Pennyrile Forest State Park Resort in Dawson Springs
This rural course lies at the bottom of a small valley surrounded by rolling hills. The course is flat with a creek running through the middle and water comes into play on every hole. The greens are soft and will hold a shot. The rough along the fairways is deep so stay on the fairway if you want to keep your score down. Hole #3, a 459-yard, par 5, requires a tee shot from a narrow chute with woods on the left side and the creek on the right. The fairway slopes toward the water hazard so hitting your tee shot straight is a necessity. Another creek must be crossed before you reach the green, which is severely slope. Tee times are reserved for weekends and holidays only.
