Palm Beach Polo & Country Club - Course 3 in West Palm Beach
This club has two eighteen hole regulation courses, plus a nine hole regulation course. The Cypress Course has a reputation for harboring four of the most difficult finishing holes in golf because of the yardage and the wind factor. Hole #17, a 641-yard, par 5, features both sand bunkers and a water hazard as part of its design. Hole #16 is a 231-yard, par 3, which plays dead into the wind. The Dunes Course has some long par 3's with outstanding views. "Golf Digest" rated the Dunes 57th among the "Top 75 Resort Courses" in 1992. The nine hole North Course is a traditional-style design with elevated greens and two very difficult par 4's. Hole #5, a 426-yard, par 4, plays uphill and into the wind, while hole #6, a 415-yard, par 4, also plays into the wind and is heavily bunkered. Only guests of the hotel and club members are allowed to play these courses.
