Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio

Oak Hills Country Club opened in 1921 and was designed by A.W. Tillinghast. Several enhancements were made in 1983 by Jay Moorish. This course has several tight, tree-lined fairways that demand accurate tee shots in order stay clear of the trees on the approach shots. The greens are smooth and fast and in good condition. Holes #9 and #18 are par 3's that require tee shots from elevated boxes over water to the greens, which are also elevated and protected by bunkers. Oak Hills Golf Club hosted the Texas Open from 1961 to 1966 and from 1977 to 1994. The club also hosted the Nabisco Championships of Golf in 1987 (currently known as the inaugural TOUR Championship), and will host the SBC Championhsip in 2002-2004.
