Mitchell Creek Golf Course in Traverse City
This nine hole course, built on flat terrain, features a thick cut of rough lining its fairways, plus trees of various sizes that can affect your shots. The small greens are slightly undulating, but roll true. The course plays longer than the yardage indicates, plus it can be difficult at times because of a winding creek jutting across and alongside many of the narrow fairways. The signature hole is #4, a 385-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a dogleg fairway, then an approach shot to a small, well-bunkered green.
