Mar-O-Del Golf Course in Marion
This course, built on predominantly flat terrain, provides some mounding that can cause uneven lies. In addition, some of the average-sized and sloped greens are elevated. All the fairways are defined by a standard cut of rough, and six of them are tree lined. Sand bunkers come into play on a number of fairways and around most of the greens. The final four finishing holes are highlighted by a creek flowing through the center of the fairways. The signature hole is #18, a 421-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot of at least 200 yards in order to carry the creek, then an uphill approach shot to an elevated green.
