Long Prairie Country Club in Long Prairie
This visually pleasing course has fragrant wild flowers sprinkled throughout its design. In 1998, nine new holes were added to make this an eighteen hole course. The fairways are wide open and were built on rolling terrain. The greens are medium-sized and fast, and water comes into play on two holes. The signature hole is #14, a 145-yard, par 3, requiring a partial carry over water, which also traces the left side of the hole and behind the green. Although the course is user-friendly, "there are always places to get into trouble," says the course personnel. Since its expansion, the course has received favorable response from its golf clientele.
