Locust Hills Golf Club - Course 3 in Springfield
This club has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. A father's dream became reality when his two sons, John and Richard Kitchen, turned a seed-corn farm into a nine hole golf course in 1966. Five years later, in 1971, the boys added another nine holes and in 1978 a third nine was added. There is enough variety of play on these courses to challenge any level of player. The White Course plays long and was built on slightly rolling terrain. All the courses have large greens, and four lakes come into play on a few select holes.
