Kannapolis Country Club in Kannapolis
This course was cut out of mature pine trees and dogwoods. The course underwent a major renovation in 1996. All of the greens and bunkers were re-built to USGA specifications and all cart paths were replaced with concrete. The course has water hazards that come into play on ten holes. The terrain is rolling, and there are many dogleg fairways. The greens are undulating and fairly small. This club was one of twelve sites to host the first stage of PGA Qualifying school in 1998.
