Hickory Sticks Golf Club in California
This course is located in a farming community and reopened in June, 1998, after twenty years of sitting dormant. The new owners, consisting of eleven partners, have redesigned this course and consider it to be one of the best in the area. The front nine holes have wide and forgiving fairways that leave a golfer with a bit of room off the tees. The back nine, however, is very tight and requires precise shots. Hole #17 is the signature hole. This long par 5 shoots off an elevated tee over a large lake. The green is very heavily bunkered and requires a good approach.
