Ft. Walton Beach Golf Club - Course 1 in Fort Walton Beach
This municipal facility has two eighteen hole courses. The Oaks Course is a shorter, more narrow course with water that comes into play on four holes. There are several dogleg fairways, and the design puts an emphasis on precise placement off the tee. The greens are also very small, and sand bunkers are prevalent in the layout. The back nine was added to the Oaks Course in 1994. The Pines Course is longer with wide-open fairways and large greens. The signature hole is #7, a 130-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a small, three-tiered green. The club personnel consider it to be a great course to improve your confidence.
