Fresh Meadow Country Club in Great Neck
This private club has an excellent course that is well maintained. The greens are well-manicured. The course is very scenic and there are two lakes that come into play on three holes. The wide fairways are tree lined, and the small greens are fast and undulating. The signature hole is #12, a 456-yard, par 4, requiring an approach shot over water to a small, well-bunkered green. This club hosted the 1932 U.S. Open, won by the legendary Gene Sarazen.
