Country Club of Fairfield in Fairfield

This course is very flat and open. Water hazards come into play on seven holes. The greens are fast, sloped and somewhat undulating. "GOLFWEEK" ranked it 61st among "America's 100 Best Classical Courses" for 2001. A. W. Tillinghast (1925), Robert Trent Jones (1960) and Geoffrey Cornish (1963) have done renovations on this course. As of March 2001, course is currently undergoing a restabilization project around a tidal lagoon, which involves the rebuilding of 3 tees, 3 bunkers, and 3 fairways.
