Country Club of Charleston in Charleston



This club was originally founded in 1786 and has been listed by the USGA as being the oldest golf club in the U.S. It was also named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America." The current course, which was built in 1925, includes marshes that surround the entire layout. The signature hole is #11, a 187-yard, par 3. The course is closed for maintenance on Mondays.
