Birkdale Golf Club in Huntersville
This course opened March 31, 1997, and is the area's newest premium public eighteen hole championship course. The design consists of rolling terrain with water and continuous concrete cart paths. The layout concludes with a 436-yard, par 4, requiring an approach shot over water to a green that is protected with sand bunkers and water on the left side. The course is walkable for those without severe ailments. This club also has an eighteen hole natural turf putting course. The 6,053-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 74.9 and a slope of 138.
