Argyle Country Club in Silver Spring
This hilly course has small greens that are well bunkered and sloped. The signature hole is #17, a 179-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot from off an extremely elevated tee box over both a stream and pond to a well-bunkered, postage stamp-sized green. The club has hosted numerous championships and has served as a qualifying site for the U.S. Open. The course was redesigned by Ed Ault and Al Jamison in 1960.
